Since 2017 we have observed doctors overcharging for providing access to medical cannabis. When the program first launched, doctors were charging patients as much as $400-$500 for the new patient visit, and having the patient follow up much sooner than then 7 months maximum allowable by the state. Patients were paying for these follow ups as well, driving the price up dramatically for access to cannabis.
We set our new patient visit at $200 in 2017, and have still not changed this. We waive the new patient visit for those already in the program with another doctor’s office to liberate them from the excess costs. Making the new patient visit for transfers at $85.
In addition to this any patient you refer to us and signs up we provide a $20 credit to your own cannabis visit, thus reducing your costs. We appreciate our cannabis patients so much and are happy to provide access.
